As Chief Academic Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, Janet Pinto leads and manages all of Curriki’s content development, user experience, marketing, and academic direction. She also leads the vision and strategy for Curriki’s online learning offerings and develops and maintains relationships with academic partners. In addition, Janet oversees all Professional Development and implementation.
Before Curriki, Janet managed marketing at CampusCruiser, a Learning Management Systems provider for the higher education market. Her efforts were focused on branding, market analysis, and all aspects of marketing communications. Prior to joining CampusCruiser, Janet was director of marketing communications at SchoolNet, a K-12 education technology company. In this role, she was responsible for making measurable improvements in the company’s brand visibility and lead generation. Janet managed product marketing at Classroom Connect, where she successfully led the marketing efforts for the company’s flagship professional development product line.
Janet began her career in the education field, spending 6 years as a Special Education teacher. She transitioned from the classroom to the boardroom when she joined Sun Microsystems Public Relations team. While at Sun, she managed international press tours, crafted press releases, and coordinated Sun’s PR outreach for the Global Education and Research group.
Janet is a graduate of Northeastern University and holds a Master’s degree in Education from the College of New Rochelle.
